14-year-old boy suspected of stabbing fellow student in Chino Hills – Press Enterprise

A 14-year-old student at Chino Hills High School was arrested Friday, Aug. 11, after he was suspected of stabbing another student at a restaurant near the campus, authorities said.

A fight had broken out among students just before 4 p.m. on Friday at a Wendy’s restaurant along the 15000 block of Pomona Rincon Road, a few blocks away from the campus, leading to the suspect stabbing another 14-year-old boy with a knife, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said in a Monday statement. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The victim remained in the hospital on Monday, Aug. 14, and was expected to recover, said San Bernardino County Sheriff’s spokesperson Mara Rodriguez.

The teen suspect was found near the restaurant and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, authorities said.
